San Jose Clinic Sealant Day 2-16-2013

Saturday February 16^th 2013, Greater Houston Dental Hygienist’s Society joined with San Jose Clinic and students from UT and HCC for the bi-annual “Sealant Day”.  180 sealants on 39 kids children.  Patterson donated supplies and sealant material was donated by ‘Sealants Across America’. Goodie bags given to the kids contained a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and sugar free gum provided by Crest & Oral-B, Butler and Wrigely.  A variety of pamphlets were given out at an informational booth that was set up in the waiting room.  This allowed the parents to get information on sealants while they waited.  Pamphlets were obtained for free from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research.

 

 

 

Toys for Tots 2012

For the second year in a row Greater Houston Dental Hygienists' Society collected toys at their December meeting to donate to Toys for Tots.

Ibn Sina Health Fair 12-8-2012

Ibn Sina invited Greater Houston Dental Hygienists' Society to volunteer for their health fair, Saturday, December 8th, 2012, two days after their grand opening of the new clinic on South Post Oak.  GHDHS members volunteered to performed oral cancer screenings and assisted with exams in the brand new facility.  UTHSC students assisted and provided oral hygiene instructions.
